What are cookies and why does Image Heroes use them?

What cookies does Image Heroes use?
We use a combination of session cookies (ones that are deleted as soon as you close your web browser). We use session cookies to identify you, determine whether or not you have JavaScript enabled, and remember any details you enter and to identify your session data in our server. The information on our server expires after 30 minutes, and the cookies will be deleted as soon as you close your browser.
We do not use persistent cookies to remember your details.
Which third party cookies does Image Heroes use?
We use third party cookies from Desk, Optimizely and Google Analytics.
Desk is web based customer service software owned by
Sales Force. It features an elegant support ticket system. Cookies don’t give Desk access to users’ computers, and the information Desk collect through cookies doesn’t include personal information. You can read the Sales Force privacy policy

What if I use social media plug-ins or click a link to a third party site?
If you share a link to one of our pages using social media (for example, if you click an icon to share one of our articles on Facebook), that social media site may save cookies to your computer. Image Heroes doesn’t control these cookies, and turning off cookies on our site will not disable those sent to your computer by a third party site such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. We recommend contacting the sites in question if you’d like more information on their cookie policies. Similarly, if you follow a link from our site to a third party site, we have no control over that site’s cookies and disabling cookies on Imageheroes.com will not prevent the third party site from storing cookies or your device. Image Heroes cannot accept responsibility for the content of cookies used by social media networks or other third parties.
